Phoebe “I had a healing with Charlie and would recommend wholeheartedly. He held the space impeccably; with both sensitivity and depth, I felt totally safe and as a result journeyed deep within myself. I found Charlie’s reflections after the healing particularly useful and insightful, and this helped me gain some clarity on some of the material that had arisen for me. Much gratitude!”

What is a shamanic healing?

Long before modern medicine and technology,  healers, medicine men and women, shamans and seers  have been helping people find solutions to physical, psychological and spiritual sickness. Often this was done through finding the root causes, blockages or imbalances in the patient’s body; relations; or life, and connecting them with their own inner healing intelligence and the support of seen and unseen forces; ancestors; or plant/animal/nature spirits.

This is healing of empowerment, balancing, and re-connection

What to expect:

Typically, a full healing will take around 3 hours beginning with a consultation to understand the symptoms and difficulties a client is facing. This followed by some or all of the techniques described  below in a way best suited for each individual client. At the end of the healing there is time for reflections and advice for integration.

More than a single session may sometimes be necessary or some clients may prefer to come for a specific stand alone intervention, for example, cord-cutting or psychopomp work.

Prices range from £90-£250

Extraction and Power Renewal

Throughout daily life we are exposed to intrusions and negative emotions that can contribute to a loss of life force or personal power. This may show up as physical illness, fatigue, or unwanted patterns of behaviour. The technique of extraction is found in animistic traditions across the world. During a healing these intrusions can be identified and removed by working using practical animistic techniques. It is very important to remove any intrusions and cleanse the system prior to the power renewal. In this phase of the healing the client is reconnected with their spiritual allies, guides and protectors. The result is increased life force and vitality

Ancestral Medicine

Traumas, beliefs and behaviours can be passed through a person’s ancestry and show up in their life as  blockages, patterns of behaviour, addictions or unwanted habits. It is important to recognise that we may hold burdens that are not directly rooted in our lifetime and may trace back many generations. The Celtic word for this is geis, meaning an ‘ancestral curse’. Often a person has spent many years working through their personal trauma yet may still feel stuck in unwanted patterns of behaviour. Ancestral healing can be approached as part of a full Shamanic healing (alongside extraction, power renewal and soul retrieval) or through using Internal Family Systems therapy (sometimes a combination of the two techniques is complimentary). Undertaking ancestral healing is extremely powerful and has the potential to unburden past and future generations of trauma. Working with ancestors who are ‘well in spirit’ can also facilitate the receiving of gifts and heirlooms that can have a postive effect on a client’s life and allow them to feel supported by relationships beyond this reality.

Psychopomp

Sometimes a deceased family member or loved one can become trapped between the realm of the living and the realm of souls that have passed to the other side. Souls can become trapped in the land, at sites of trauma or death, or within the psychic field of relatives or loved ones. This may manifest in a client’s life in not being able to get over the death of someone close; feeling ‘haunted’; complex grief or PTSD; an unexplainable change in one’s habits; dissociation; or a negative change in a person’s life after the death of a loved one. Psychopomp work can help facilitate a conversation or  witnessing that wasn’t able to happen in this life. The result can be a beautiful process of exchange and letting go enabling the deceased soul to pass through a portal to the other side and finally be at peace without exerting any further negative hold on the client’s life

Soul Retrieval

Through traumatic events in our lives parts of our essential self or ‘soul’ can become lost as a mechanism to protect us. This is incredibly  common (almost ubiquitous) in modern Western society and has often been present for most of a client’s life. PTSD, attachment trauma, dissociation, addiction, emotional dependency, depression and anxiety are common manifestations of soul loss. Soul retrieval follows spirit extraction, ancestral healing and power renewal during a healing. This facilitates integration of the returning soul part(s) and ongoing nurturing and protection. The results can be profound with health improvement and greater feelings of connectedness / wholeness
